More than Just a Bowl of Soup: A Gathering of Dignity
Angola is a young, vibrant land, rich in culture and home to a resilient people. But behind the rhythms of semba and its natural beauty, many families still face the harsh reality of scarcity and a lack of basic services.
Since 2018, the Shalom Community has been present in the Angolan city of Lubango with a clear mission: to transform pain into hope. Through initiatives for human development, soup distribution, clothing donations, and prayer groups, our missionaries touch the suffering flesh of Christ in the poorest.
“It’s not just food shared, but an inner call to go further,” recalls Hugo Jordão, a missionary in the region for six years.
